The exterior really needs a clean.
But as it was too cold to have the pressure washer out and be w etting the car. I concentrated on cleaning out the interior, vacuuming (and scrubbing) the interior for dog hairs and cleaning up all the dirt from all the plastic and leather surfaces.
F ound a tool kit underneath the rear plastic cover no one could o pen.
Amazing how all that dirt and dog hair got under a cover that had never been opened.
I gave it all a good scrub with degreaser, vacuumed the dirt up, degreased again and then wip ed.
Some inside shots nearly finished.

That was a helluva test for even your skills, my friend.
Unfortunately for this car, I don’t think a n exterior clean will make it look any more attractive.

Add french fries and some well aged cracker bits, and this is my sister’s minivan.

I’ve done worse, much worse. Ford Focus Mk1.
To be fair, I thought the same of this Lexus, we’ll see.
It only needs to be clean inside. They are using the Pathfinder to go to the airport with their father, only it smells a little of dog and their father wouldn’t get in it.
So all surfaces have been anti-bacterial wiped down and fabric surfaces treated with a UV photo catalyst odour destroyer.

It was a leisurely four hours.
It’s not the worst I’ve done.
I couldn’t start earlier as it was that cold the car was still froz en and had to stop at 4pm because the dew point was getting too high and moisture would start to form on the inside glass.

10/10 there was never a manual pathfinder of that vintage offered in the US.

When I did my mom’s RL last Summer, the hardest thing was the floor mats. They were just too deeply stained and worn to get everything out. But, getting all the particulates and any smells out is victory.

This gen was offered from 2004 up to 2014 with about two thirds being manual.
We didn’t get the next one.

The next one is like a toyota highlander but much worse, think a blob with a big V6 and a CVT.

Floor mats can be a PITA, but nowhere near as bad as stained carpets.
A wet’dry vacuum is a godsend.
and an extraction tool.

Yup, made use of that something like four times in a row. It helped a great deal.

I own one of these and did a double take when I saw the shifter.
That was available in the XTerra though, which has similar bones.
